Enhanced Safety Measures
Our office follows infection control guidelines from the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We regularly review and implement the latest recommendations.
Air Quality Improvements
- HVAC System: We’ve upgraded our HVAC system with enhanced air filtration.
- Air Purifiers: Free-standing air purifiers are placed throughout the office for added protection.
Health Protocols
- Office Protocols:Â In response to the COVID-19 pandemic we adjusted our protocols to minimize potential contagion and ensure social distancing for the safety of our patients, their families, and our staff.
- Continual Monitoring:Â As public health issues arise, we will continue to adapt and develop new office procedures to keep our patients, their families and our staff safe.
Pre-Appointment Procedures
- Family Monitoring:Â Â We always appreciate you monitoring your family members’ health in terms of fever, sore throat, and cough. We encourage you to reschedule appointments if there is any chance of passing your illness to our staff and other patients in our office.
- Health Screening:Â In times of public health issues, patients and their parents are asked to complete a health screening questionnaire about the patient’s health and immediate family members 24 hours before the appointment. These forms are available on our website for easy completion.
- Consent Forms:Â As necessary we will make available additional consent forms to our website to keep an eye on our patients’ health
In-Office Safety
- Mask Policy:Â We have a limited stock of facemasks available if patients prefer to wear them before and after their appointments.
- Temperature Checks: We are able to use a non-contact thermometer if a patient thinks they may have a fever.
- Brushing:Â If a patient has been unable to brush their teeth at home before the appointment we have disposable toothbrushes available in our restroom and brushing station.
